Visit the wild side of the island! This is a more adventurous tour as we will (almost) solely follow the dirt roads on the east side of Bonaire. We will start by making a left turn at Lagoen. The tour will follow a fun bumpy road towards the Eastern lighthouse and the Spelonk cave. This cave can be easily entered and shows some nice stalagmites and stalactites. There are also a few Indian inscriptions inside. After visiting the cave the tour will go back towards Lagoen and turn towards the Bara di Karta trail. This trail allows you to discover a high variety of landscapes and a different kind of nature. There are also some 'Kunukus' on the trail, these are small-scale farms. Eventually this trail takes the tour along the edge of the mangrove forest towards the beautiful spot Lac Cai. Here there is a small break so you can enjoy the amazing view of the conch shells and across the bay. This is also an excellent spot to get your feet wet or even snorkel a little bit as this is an excellent place to spot sea turtles.
